ProfileChris is a part-time assistant professor with the School of Rehabilitation Science where he works as the physiotherapy coordinator for the Northern Studies Stream. In addition to his academic position, Chris continues to maintain a clinical practice at Fanti + Associates, Physiotherapists where he lives in Thunder Bay, Ontario.
Chris graduated from the McMaster University Physiotherapy program in 2002 as a member of the inaugural class of the MSc(PT) degree. Since then Chris has continued to be involved with the program as a clinical skills instructor and tutor for Research and Evidence-Based Practice in Unit V. In 2007, Chris took on the role of NSS Coordinator.
His professional interests include ongoing professional development in clinical assessment and treatment techniques as well as educational theory. Research interests include orthopaedics, primary care and human resource strategies to underserviced areas. Chris is also a strong believer in the importance of professional unity and advancement. He has served on the board of directors of the Ontario Physiotherapy Association since 2006 and is currently the President of the OPA.

Fun Fact
Chris enjoys the abundance of outdoor opportunities and fresh air in Thunder Bay! Cross country skiing in the winter and sailing in the summer, all only minutes away. After commuting for years in Vancouver, Chris now very much enjoys his daily commute to work of 8 minutes (and that’s walking)!
